JUMPER the Movie: A Survey
Steven Gould

Okay, I’ve been thinking about my (quite easy) posts dealing with the movie news about the Jumper movie.
Boring? Inappropriate? Gross self-promotion?
I mean, Brad once produced an entire video documentary that might as well have been titled, “Steven Gould: Wanker or… Wanker?”
I’ve actually duplicated all the posts about the movie on my own recently renovated site and I’m wondering if I should just put them there and do the occasional one line pointer from here when there is new posts. (Two actually: one and two.)
So, could you sound off in the comments for this post. I will be putting the news on my site but it’s very easy to put the same post at each location. Please indicate your preference (Braniacs, too, please.)

I like hearing about the new stuff. And I never go to your boring, self-indulgent personal site. Only to the cool EOB site. So there.
Besides, this whole thing we’re doing is all about shameless self-promotion, right?

I love hearing about this stuff. Since it’s unlikely there will ever be a movie based on one of my works, it’s really cool to bask in a) your reflected glory and b) learn insider stuff. (NOTE: I am not being ironic here. I’m interested.)

Ah. Good.
I figured out that the monkeys must be zombie monkeys.

I think you should keep posting it here — and dupe it on your site.
I’m now off to check out your renovated site.

What Everyone Else Said. The only way I find out about movies right now is from blogs. (And what’s advertised on The Good Night Show, but that’s not likely to include Jumper.) Keep us updated, especially about whether the guy who died on the last day of shooting gets special notice in the closing credits.
(Btw, that was one of the great documentaries of all time, right up there with the film of the Tacoma Narrows and This is Spinal Tap.
[Though, iirc, the scene that needs to go on the extended DVD was the moment after the documentary ended when Brad explained to you what "wanker" means. I probably don't recall correctly; it may have been Laura.]}

I’d almost forgotten about the “Steve Gould: King of the Wankers” video. Gosh, that was nine years ago.
Now that you’ve reminded me, though, I’m thinking of digging it up, digitizing it, and YouTubing it.
Well, Laura’s bit, anyway. (Since that was my favorite part.)
But I don’t remember anyone having to explain “wanker” to Steve. (After all, that’d be like explaining “batting average” to Ted Williams.)
And of course Jumper news belongs here. How else will we Eat Its Brains?
