NASA Geekitude, Space Shuttle Assembly Edition

April 3rd, 2008 by Morgan J. Locke

Via Cory at BoingBoing, E30Tech at BMW Sports Touring Forum shares these great pictures of the shuttle and payload assembly process. They showcase the full process of assembly. Like Transformers meets X-15. Fun!

Morgan, the pictures are spectacular, but the comments are also very interesting. Especially the one that correct details in the original descriptions and order. Seems to be a healthy interest in space travel. Makes me wonder how many folks signed up for the Virgle mars trip on April 1. I was ready to sign up even knowing it was a joke.

I didn’t actually read the comments — I’ll have to go back and check them out.

I’m totally there with you on the Mars trip thing. Sign me up!
