Mom and dad were amused that I ordered fish just about every night after seeing what someone else was having. (I was not a catfish fan and that or fishsticks were the fish served at home). The inside is milky white with seeds like a watermelon. My parents got their hands on some when we were on Guam. A more generous child might have appreciated the creativity of their attempts to get us to eat the stuff. All I can remember is that the soursop and 7-up combo and soursop served over ice cream were not enough to keep me from cheering when the typhoon blew down the source tree. Wow.
