JUMPSCARS: A Graphic Novel

December 1st, 2007 by Steven Gould

From Oni Press:

For centuries Jumpers have lived among us — special individuals with the ability to teleport or “jump” nearly anywhere in the world. For almost as long, the Paladins, a secret and powerful order, have protected us from these dangerous and unpredictable individuals, sacrificing everything to keep humanity safe!

Jumper: Jumpscars by Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir, and Brian Hurtt

The release date is February 6 and I’m a sexist pig for saying she has a really cute butt.

  1. Jeff Soesbe Says:

And is that a lightsabre on her back, or is she just happy to see you?

    - yeff

  2. Steven Gould Says:

Shockstick, I think, a la Samuel Jackson in the trailer.

You up for a little electric play?

  3. Morgan J. Locke Says:

I’m all over hot bods (*arf*). But comics do tend to be all about the t&a, when it comes to women characters.

There’s a website I came across once that illustrates the point beautifully. I’ll post the link, if I can find it.

  4. Madeleine Robins Says:

She’s not bad, she’s just drawn that way.

In my days in comics, Teresa Nielsen Hayden and I used to have this fantasy of having some of the worst T&A offenders (Rob Liefeld? Ron Lim? Bueller?) stand on a stage at Comicon in their favorite girl–on six inch stilletto heels, butt and chest out, swaybacked, fingers splayed–for an hour, just to see if they could ever move again. No, we’re not necessarily nice people.
