“They are the two new girls in the house – Margo is the sleek black kitty, Maggie is the tabby. Margo likes to purr very loudly, and Maggie has decided that fetch is a pretty fun game when you use a toy mouse rather than a stick.”

Handsome kittens, they are. Thanks, Nancy! I feel better now.
This beats the hell out of looking at Alberto Gonzales pics.

Tabby kitties and black kitties are always better than Alberto Gonzalez. Hey, ginger kitties are better than Alberto Gonzalez.
They’re adorable. I’m partial to tabbies myself.

Thanks – the girls enjoy the attention. And Casey – your boys are quite the lookers!

Seriously cute kitties, Casey. There’s seems to be an epidemic of kittens among EOB’ers lately. Caroline’s managed to refrain today, but she’s got a fresh cat, too.
I personally very much agree with the thought that you should have at least two cats on hand. First, that way you have a spare in case the batteries run down on one of them.
Second, when you have two or more, they’re never lonely and bored. I’d feel bad about coming home to some poor kitten that had been all alone all day while I’m at work.
As it is now, I can look around at all the new destruction in my apartment and be satisfied that they got together and once again had a major party in my absence.

I too think that two together is a good thing. Mine prefer to party in the bathroom, since that bathtub makes a great hockey rink for the toy mouse.

Speaking of which, nancy, from one of the many ‘Cat Haiku’ sites out there, this is perhaps my favorite:
The Big Ones snore now
Every room is dark and cold
Time for “Cup Hockey”
Props to Becca W. for being the first to bring CH to my attention, long ago.
