Temporary Technical Difficulties

Technical Difficulties — Please Stand By

This seems to be the week for losing your Brains.

We regret to report that Mr. Denton is unable to contribute his usual Thursday bit of grey matter due to a severe case of being Elsewhere (specifically, the Land of the Flying Monkeys).

In the meantime, let us note that on This Day in History, in 1958, The Artist Formerly Known as The Artist Formerly Known as Prince was born.

We mention this to draw scrutiny to the fact that TAFKATAFKAP and Mr. Denton have never been seen in the same place at the same time.  Coincidence?  Happenstance?

Conspiracy?

We are not accusing.  We are merely asking:

If they are NOT in fact the same person, why are they so afraid to prove it?

  1. Morgan J. Locke Says:

    Brain? Brain? What is brain??!

  2. Madeleine Robins Says:

I’m sorry. Until I can figure out how to pronounce TAFKATAFKAP I won’t be able to deal with conundrum of Mr. Denton’s true secret identity.

  3. Steven Gould Says:

    Taf-kataf-kap. The q is silent.

  4. Madeleine Robins Says:

But where is the stress? (Other than upon Mr. Denton?)

  5. Rory Harper Says:

My nice friend Bradley told me once that sometimes people used to call him the name ‘Jimmy’, but he didn’t do that any more. I’m not sure what that means.

But he never said anything about being a prince. That would be so cool. Prince Bradley. Wow!

  6. caroline Says:

Well, they do both kick ass musically…

  7. Ken Houghton Says:

Clearly, Bradley is actually “Roger” McGuinn.

Having seen both Mr. McGuinn and TAFKATAFKAP recently, I can vouch that they are not the same person. (Significant height difference.)

Since Mr. Denton is really Mr. McGuinn, he cannot be TAFKATAFKAP. Quod erat demonstrandum.

  8. James Hollaman Says:

Come to think of it, Bland lemon is never in the same room as Brad or Prince…. the plot thickens

  9. Eat Our Brains » Blog Archive » “Oh, I remember — I’m radioactive” Says:

[...] I fear this is disturbing evidence that I am getting Older.  Not that I didn’t already have plenty of other objective proof.  For example, my birthday was June 7, which means I’m now 49.  (Yes, I have the exact same 1958 birthdate as The Artist Formerly Known As The Artist Formerly Known As Prince.  This is probably why people keep thinking we’re the same person.)
