It’s been said that Kansas, where I was raised, is the Buckle of the Bible Belt – which can only mean that I now live in the Zipper.*
In other words, while Kansas does its best to hold up the nation’s moral trousers, Texas prefers to slyly cover up the naughty bits while simultaneously providing easy access.
The contrast is obvious when you consider the two states’ most prominent politicians:
